Victory Ashaka is a multi-award-winning spoken word poet, youth advisor to the European Union, poetry slam champion, and global youth ambassador of Theirworld. He is a graduate of English Literature from Lagos State University and a certified leadership fellow from the Management Institute of Finland in Helsinki. Victory has represented young people at some of the world’s most prominent policy and advocacy platforms, and his voice is one of the most recognized in the emerging generation of African youth leaders working at the intersection of culture, education, and public policy.

He is a 2024 Diana Award Recipient, a 2025 recipient of the Lord’s Achievers Award for Literature, and a Future Awards Africa Prize recipient for Young Person of the Year. He is a poet laureate who has performed and delivered addresses at UNICEF, FAO, the United Nations, the Italian Consulate, and the British Deputy High Commission, among others. He currently serves on the European Union Youth Sounding Board and the UNICEF Young People’s Action Team, where he contributes to global policy conversations on youth voice, communications, education, climate action, and inclusive development.
