Our Team

Iya Bawa Pyiki is a legal practitioner and development professional with extensive experience in gender justice, human rights advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and program implementation. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Constitutional and Human Rights Law and has worked extensively on initiatives addressing gender-based violence, institutional accountability, and policy reform in Nigeria. Through her work in the development and civil society sector, she has collaborated with government agencies, civil society organizations, and development partners to advance social justice and strengthen the systems that protect vulnerable populations.

Her expertise spans gender equality and women’s rights, gender-based violence prevention and response, human rights and constitutional law, public policy and legislative advocacy, stakeholder engagement and partnership building, program management, resource mobilization, and governance and strategic leadership. She currently serves on the Board of the Limitless Girls Advocacy Foundation, on the Board of Directors of Motivar, on the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF), and as Secretary of the Young Women in Politics Forum (YWIPF). Iya Bawa is passionate about strategic leadership, good governance, and contributing her expertise to organizations committed to sustainable social impact.
