Oluseun Onigbinde is the Co-Founder and Director of BudgIT, Nigeria’s leading fiscal transparency organization and one of Africa’s most recognized civic technology institutions. Under his leadership since 2011, BudgIT has used technology, data analytics, and creative design to make public budgets and fiscal data accessible to citizens, reaching over 20 million people across six African countries and providing institutional support to organizations including NEITI, the Nigerian National Assembly, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, and multiple state governments.

An award-winning public data analyst, fiscal transparency advocate, and firm believer in the power of open data, Oluseun is a recipient of the Ashoka Fellowship, Aspen New Voices Fellowship, Archbishop Tutu Fellowship, Melvin Jones Fellowship, Stanford Draper Hill Summer Fellowship, Knight Innovation Fellowship, and the Future Awards Prize for Science and Technology Innovation. He has been named among the 100 Most Influential Africans by The Africa Report Magazine and honored with the Quartz Africa 30 Innovators Award. He sits on the ONE Africa Policy Advisory Board and has spoken at Chatham House and other global platforms on accountability and governance. He holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and completed the Stanford Executive Program in Social Entrepreneurship.
