Osei Boateng is a Ghanaian healthcare leader and social entrepreneur committed to advancing healthcare equity across rural and underserved communities in Africa. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the OKB Hope Foundation, a nonprofit organization he established in 2017 to close the gap between rural communities and quality primary healthcare in Ghana. Under his leadership, OKB Hope Foundation has delivered free primary and preventive healthcare to over 15,000 people across more than 100 rural communities and provided mental health education to over 3,000 students through mobile health vans equipped with point-of-care diagnostics, medical supplies, and full clinical staffing.

Osei’s work is deeply personal. After losing both his grandmother and aunt to preventable conditions caused by lack of timely healthcare, he committed his career to ensuring no family would suffer the same loss. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Health and Society from Cornell University, a Master’s in Health Administration from Cornell’s Sloan Program, and a Master’s in Business Creation from the University of Utah. He was named a 2024 Cornell Human Ecology Recent Alumni Achievement Award recipient, a CNN Hero, a Global Young Changer, and the winner of the 2025 Global Citizen Waislitz Grand Prize Award, which recognized his mobile healthcare model as a scalable solution for underserved populations globally.
